One platform, one specialism

nis2crisiscompass is the NIS2/CER application of Compass — the quality-assurance system for crisis organisations, by Enquirya, a Dutch company.

Compass — Kompas in its Dutch home market — is the working method that Dutch regional safety authorities (veiligheidsregio's) use to evaluate their exercises and real responses. Not a new product: in practice since 2016 and developed further with the regions ever since, from exercise programme to improvement matrix. nis2crisiscompass applies the same working method to the crisis organisations of essential and critical entities under NIS2 and CER.

Software and people

The software records; learning is human work. An evaluation no one dares to write honestly, an observer without authority, improvement items that evaporate after the meeting — no system fixes that. The core of the working method is therefore evaluation culture: honest and safe evaluation, observing with authority, and lessons that genuinely lead to improvement.

That is why guidance comes with it: senior consultants who know the field from both sides — from inside crisis teams, and from the world of legislation where obligations like NIS2 and CER originate.

The guidance is not there to stay. The organisation learns to carry the working method itself, and once the learning cycle runs on its own, the guidance is redundant. What that means for a concrete exercise calendar is the first conversation.
